As a songwriter, my inspiration can come from just about anything. But I feel most drawn to write songs inspired by my small-town upbringing, values I hold dear, and people that impact my life. You'll often find songs about South Texas, the life of a songwriter, struggles with family life, and my support of the military. One of my songwriting inspirations is Cory Morrow, and he once told me to stay true to myself and write songs that I feel God would want me to write. To me, that meant songs with a soul - I hope that's what my songs are to others.
